The world’s best in wakeboarding caravanned down to Bull Shoals, Arkansas this past weekend for Liquid Force’s annual BROstock festival. Fueled by Monster Energy, Liquid Force picked Bull Shoals as its new home, and it couldn’t have proved to be a better decision… BROstock was bigger and better than expected once again! Twenty of the best riders including Shawn Watson, Shane Bonifay, Jimmy LaRiche, Phillip Soven, and Danny Harf came out for the contest, but stayed for the fun and festivities!
Oakley Athlete Amber Wing has been leading the progression in women's Wakeboarding over the past few years. Amber was the first women to land a ts fs 720, hs fs 720 and on July 14, 2010 she is the first lady to land a ts fs wake to wake 900. Amber and fellow teammate Nicola Butler were filming for Oakley on Clear Lake in Orlando Florida.
In an amazing final that included a huge Pete Rose 540 from Adam Fields and perfect 900 from Adam Errington, BROstock 2010 had the best riding, water conditions and local support ever.
Will Bradley, Nicola Butler, Amber Wing & Aaron Rathy all took various titles on the Rococo Pool Gap event but it was the Pro Boat Finals that hold the biggest prize purse & greatest prestige. These were taken in the girls event by Argentinian Robbie Rendo, taking 3rd. UK superstar, Nicola Butler and Australian legend, Amber Wing took the coveted girls title. In the mens it was Auzzie Dean Smith who took 4th on the podium, Austin Hair from the USA took 3rd. Canadian Aaron Rathy just missed out on the top spot in second and the Relentless Wakestock 2010 Champion and number 1 spot on the podium going to American & multiple world title holder, Philip Soven.

A few years ago we were making up tricks on computer games; of course it was all just a dream, a fantasy, a way to while away the hours or wind down following a good session, perhaps an opportunity to make a digital rider do the impossible. We would frantically press the D Pad on the controller in the hope that we could invent the future, we could pretend that those pixels up on the screen were us laying down the absurd and surely impossible tricks.
